BUENOS AIRES, Nov 18 (NA) -- Referee Pablo Echavarría presented a forceful report to the Disciplinary Tribunal detailing the serious incidents that took place in the match between Deportivo Madryn and Deportivo Morón, valid for the second leg of the Primera Nacional's Promotion Playoffs semifinals. The strong altercation occurred at the end of the match, which sealed the 'Aurinegro's' passage to the final for the second promotion spot to the Professional League, where they will face Estudiantes de Rio Cuarto. In his report, the main referee pointed against several players, stating that 'player #17 of Club Morón, Mr. Gastón González, attempts to assault player #2 of Deportivo Madryn, Facundo Giacopuzzi.' He also observed that Germán Rivero (Madryn) 'throws a punch from behind at a rival.' Subsequently, Echavarría pointed to this action as the one that caused 'players from Morón to come out to chase him, throwing several punches at him.' 'The violence intensified when players and coaching staff of Morón rushed against the police, generating shoves, kicks, and insults, which provoked repression with pepper spray,' he asserted in his statement. Although both teams were protagonists of the brawl, according to Echavarría's report, it is expected that the sanction for Deportivo Morón will be greater due to the fact that he pointed not only at footballers but also at members of the technical staff, while on the part of Deportivo Madryn, the only one singled out was Rivero. According to what the Argentine News Agency was able to ascertain from the images, the footballers were Franco Lorenzón, Elías Contreras, and Emilio Lazza. Later, the official in charge of justice described the brawl between the 'Gallito's' squad members and the security forces, which included blows and pepper spray.
